It’s not uncommon for computer users to encounter many error messages that point to bad sectors on their computers. Most of these users also don’t know what these errors are, let alone how to fix them. Unless you’re a computer expert, you probably won’t have a hard time dealing with something like this. You would easily know what to do with it and your problem goes away soon. The problem is when the user doesn’t even understand what a bad sector is. A bad sector is an error that results from a physically damaged portion of a computer’s hard disk. This makes that portion unreadable for the system, hence, the error message pops up. You would know about the presence of a bad sector by using SCANDISK or CHKDSK utility software which your software usually comes with. This utility basically works by marking these damaged portions on the disk so the operating systems merely skips them when the disk is in use. Marking that bad sector means the disk controller will have structured the logical sector somewhere else on the hard drive. This drive usually has many spare spaces so a bad sector usually wouldn’t be a problem. If, however, your disk gets to the point when there’s no more free space and remapping the bad ones is impossible, that spells disaster for your PC. Signs of a bad sector is having your screen turn blue while you’re in the middle of something. Sometimes, the system simply won’t move. In worst cases, the system just crashes and everything ‘s gone in a moment. This is, of course, your most dreaded possibility especially if half of your life depends on what’s in that computer. If that’s a scenario you can’t possibly afford, you need to get of the best registry cleaners you can find and get it to work. This type of software can actually dig deep into the source of the bad sectors where your operating system’s utilities can’t. However, this is exactly what registry cleaners specialize in. They can detect and fix bad sectors automatically so you can have that PC up and running in no time. If you prefer to fix your registry manually, you can also do that using the software. But unless you are properly trained and skilled to do this, it’s not recommended because erroneously deleting a file could only obviously compound the problem. Choosing that registry cleaner just might be a tough choice with the many brands and freebies around. But you can always look into registry cleaner reviews to find out what actual people have experienced with each brand. And then you can settle on one registry cleaner which you think would be best for you.
