How Do I Fix My Computer Without Getting Professional Help?

First, I renewal my antivirus and it wouldn’t work unless I put it to safe mode. Now I can’t even use it cause somebody told me to clean disk C. I did, what now, I need help fixing this problem. I want my computer to work normal before this problem happen. By the way its the XP Home edition.

I would try a system restore
Clean disk C? did you format it?
what exactly is happening when you switch on?
Reinstall your Operating system By Putting in your Original Disc It will be labeled “BOOT DISC” Or “os” OR Look In your Start menu for System Restore and Select a date When your computer Was working
Get help. Bribe, sleep with, feed, or beg someone into helping you. There are enough unknowns that unless you are pretty lucky, we can’t fix this over the net for you.
I used the Windows Recovery panel to fix my computer. Run it from your Windows CD.
