i wanted to know if there’s anywhere i can go to get my computer fixed? it has a virus and i took it to best buy and they are charging me $230!!!!!!!!!!!! and i even have warranty on it! stupid store! so i wanted to know if there are any other places around that i can take to get fix for way less money. i live in san jose,ca so if u guys got any ideas please let me know! thanks!

Try restoring your computer before the day you got a virus.
Do this..and your computer will be fine again. dont do System Restore to get back to the day Windows was working fine. It will work but will not remove the virus.
Find or buy a USB Flash drive and save some of the important files, folders, and photos if they are still ok to access.
Then, you will need to reformat and reinstall so find your Windows Installation CD which usually came with the PC when you bought it. Dont worry, if you cant find it and you cant go online, go to your friend’s PC, library or work PC to go online. Then go to their homepage HP, emachine, or Dell or whatever your PC is.
Then, call their customer service number and tell them you need an Installation CD to reinstall Windows. It usually 10-25 bucks. Before you call them, write down the Product ID number which is on the Sticker behind your computer. They will need that.
Then, just put the installation CD then reinstall Windows.
It will ask you if you want to install Windows on the same partition or create new partition. Select create new partition, so it will reformat the Hard drive and reinstall on newly made partition.
There you go..you have a brand new P.C again my friend

Download and run scan
Also download and run scans with the following free programmes

All these will clean your PC
I’m not sure how old your pc is but I got fed up with my older desktop and wiped it clean (formatted it).
If you still have your Vista/Xp install disk sometimes it’s better just to backup all your personal files on a separate hard drive and wipe your computer clean.
If you don’t have anything on it you could do a full disk whipe and then re install the soft-ware. Other wise let them fix it or buy a new hard drive, anti virus is BS none of it works.
try downloading an internet security suite, do a scan and there will be it.http://www.comodo.com

reinstall your os yourself or download a free anti-virus program
and a warranty only covers hardware problems not problems caused buy the operator
If u can get on the computer try to download Avast antivirus and it should remove it. Avast is free for a Trial… Google it
Why do you think it’s a virus?
log on to your computer in safe mode with networking and go to bit defender online scan and hopefully that will help you good luck
